e purpose of applying for funding is to raise money to start my project. I have passion for business within the agriculture supply chain and has decided to pursue my passion through the establishment of a cassava processing plant aimed at producing garri only. The garri production plant will be sited within the Ejigbo area of Lagos State Nigeria. In addition, I wish to earn extra income to support my family.

Food has become an issue in Nigeria. Millions of the population (of the estimated 200million people] hardly eat more than once a day. The acute food shortage that has hit Nigeria is expected no thanks to the ten years of insurgency in the Northern part of the country and the emergence of bandits decapitating farmers in the Northern country side. In addition, successive government had paid hip service to farming and agro-products processing, the latter had induced scarcity of farm products hence worsening the food crisis.

I would like to play a critical role in cassava tuber processing to produce garri hence contribute to the wining of the war against hunger and starvation in my country.
